 Taliesin was made by Teferi to be the keeper of wisdom, knowledge, and prophesy. Known in modern human times as "Father Time", he embodies the virtues of reason, intellect, and prudence. He records the history of his people; and represents both their past and their potential future. He has traveled through neighboring nations to learn their culture and gain insight into the Brinncaillagh’s co-existence with them. Taliesin is a stern but patient teacher and those who would learn from him must seek him out. The Original has several children and knows all of them. As a father, he tries to impart forethought, wisdom, and self-reliance. When they come of age, he lets them fly on their own. Taliesin encourages his children, and others, to make their own way in the world, but keeps in touch. When he re-emerged from his seclusion during the Revival, Taliesin sent his Elders to rest and took up what duties he could given his limited powers. He was sought out by a young Reul-iuil named Annalise to learn wisdom and history from the newly awakened Original. She, in turn, helped Taliesin adjust to the new era. Their relationship evolved from teacher/student to friends and eventually lovers. They have been companions ever since and have several children together. ----------------------------------------

His firstborn son, Rihan Gealach, inherited Prophecy in the form of precognitive visions. Taliesin helped young Rihan develop his talents and record what they showed him. The gift of Prophecy was passed to Rihan's youngest daughter, Thanya. In each generation, one child is born with the gift in some form or another, usually precognitive visions. Father to daughter, mother to son, Taliesin's prophecy survives through Rihan's descendants. **The bolded names are the gifted descendants. They are not necessarily the youngest.
